Another for the Glam! Base Race, it's also a late 413 art, featuring two of my favorite characters. I decided to go for a double monochrome, which I haven't done in a looooong while, the last one was that outdated art of two of my OCs (I say outdated cause their designs have since changed). I originally thought of making them greyscale but changed my mind mainly because I tend to think of the Homestuck characters, design wise, by their colors. I had a lot of fun with this one, not just for dolling two of my all time favorite characters (honestly if I ever did a top 10 fave female character list I'd have to make a spot for every single female HS character). Also for a story I'll tell you guys.
One thing I haven't really talked about here on dA at all, some on my Tumblr, is I grew up in a private Christian school/church. I say it like that as they were literally the same building. Being a non-domination with strong evangelism, I was taught from an early age it was wrong, sinful to be gay or anything but cis straight. I slowly unlearned that bullshit, and Homestuck was actually one of the many things I came across helping with the process. It was one of the first times, other than a few interactions in forums which hardly went anywhere much of the time, I really saw gay people treated like people. It took me a while to start shipping these two, and other gay ships from Homestuck, but once I started rereading the comic and seeing all the fanart and listening to the banter from Let's Read Homestuck, it just sort of clicked. Then I later learned I was gay myself, which was back last fall. Thanks for reading my rambling, ha!
Hope you like it!
